Northeast Ohio -- In Ohio's seventh district, incumbent republican representative Bob Gibbs Cruised to an easy victory over first-time democratic challenger Ken Harbaugh.

The race for this district wasn't a cheap one.  During the campaign, navy veteran Harbaugh raised more than $2 million, while Gibbs brought in roughly half of that.

the bulk of Gibbs' cash reportedly came from PACS, while Harbaugh got much of his funding via out-of-state contributions.  Gibbs didn't lose sight of that point

during a Cleveland campaign appearance with President Donald Trump earlier this week.

"They're trying to buy these seats and put their liberal, socialist agenda on middle American and America" said Gibbs.

Despite Harbaugh's influx of cash, Gibbs won a projected fifty-eight percent of the vote.

In a statement, he thanked the district he's represented since 2013, and congratulated his opponent for "running a well-funded campaign"
