All of Ohio's 88 counties are under a high wind alert.

What You Need To Know

  • The entire state is under a wind alert through at least 7 p.m.

  • Some wind gusts could get as high as 60 mph

  • Damaging winds could happen in or out of a storm

  • It's possible to see damage to trees and power lines

High Wind Warnings are up for parts of northern, central and west-central Ohio.

We will not only see some very high wind gusts up to 60 mph, but it’s a long time to have gusty winds.

Stay weather aware for wind through 7 p.m. for most of the state but through 10 p.m. in northwest Ohio.

Storms that could have severe winds of 58 mph or higher could happen through 5 p.m.

These storms will likely lack thunder and hail but they have the capability to transfer high winds down to the surface so stay weather aware even if it seems like just "rain."

Wind gusts may actually increase slightly even after the showers move out.

These wind gusts can damage homes, trees and power lines.

High temperatures in the 60s could approach record highs for today in some spots.

The cold front this afternoon and evening will allow winds out of the west tonight, and temperatures will be cooler and more seasonable on Friday.
