Dew point is the measure of the amount of moisture in the air. Ultimately, it tells us the temperature in which the air mass must cool down to in order for it to become saturated.
Warmer air masses can hold more water vapor than cold air masses. That’s why it feels humid on some summer days whereas winter days have many applying the lip balm.
