Severe storms Friday evening produced a tornado southwest of Dayton.

  • Damage was rated as EF-1

  • Most of the damage was to trees

  • There were no injuries or deaths

The National Weather Service and emergency management rated the tornado an EF-1. It touched down at 8:38 p.m. a few miles southeast of Gratis and lifted 6 miles southwest of Germantown.

The tornado had estimated wind speeds of 90 to 95 mph and was on the ground for 2.8 miles. Its largest width was 100 yards.

Much of the damage was to trees. However, it did damage the roof of a home and a barn.

There were no reports of injuries or deaths.
