A few showers are possible late in the day and into tonight. Highs will be in the lower 80s to upper 70s.
Overnight temperatures will be in the lower 60s and stay mild until Monday morning.
Expect a southerly breeze at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
A storm system will arrive Monday. Ahead of it, central North Carolina could see isolated storms and showers midday. A second round of storms is possible later in the day, with some of those being strong.
Most of North Carolina will be in at an enhanced risk of severe weather Monday, a level 3 out of 5.
The system could bring damaging winds, large hail and a risk of tornadoes.
Once the system passes, a calmer pattern emerges with a brief cooldown followed by a gradual warmup for the end of the week.
