Wind chills have dropped to -10 to -20 this morning under clear skies. Most kids are off for the holiday but they'll need to limit exposure today with highs only in the single digits and lower teens.

We will see another frigid but not as cold start on Tuesday but temperatures will quickly rebound into the middle and upper 30s by Tuesday afternoon. We stay dry until late Tuesday night when widespread rain showers move in. Rain will continue overnight and into Wednesday afternoon. Rain totals up to 1" will be possible and it will be rain because highs on Wednesday will be in the 40s.

As temperatures drop Wednesday night into Thursday we will see a changeover to snow showers. Accumulations are possible and Thursday morning commute will need to be watched. Much colder air returns by Friday.
