Temporary traffic detours are in place around Mercy Hospital in Buffalo as part of a storm and sewer line replacement project.

As of Monday, Lorraine Avenue is down to one lane eastbound and closed to traffic from Abbott Road. The hospital’s front driveway circle is now closed to traffic and cars going to the hospital will be redirected to Choate Avenue to get to the front entrance.

Patient pick up and drop off as well as valet will also be on Lorraine Avenue. The parking ramp entrances on Abbott Road and Lorraine Avenue will remain open, with access to the hospital’s main lobby from the second-level ramp bridge.

These restrictions are set to be in place through June 6.
