Olentangy Liberty knocks off St. Edward in state semifinal to reach title game

Olentangy Liberty used a strong defense and rushing attack to defeat three-time defending Division I state champion St. Edward in a state semifinal.

The Patriots (13-2) jumped out to a 21-0 lead on the way to a 21-7 win, and will face Moeller next Friday in the Division I title game. The Eagles finish the year at 9-6.

The Division I championship will be played at 7:30 p.m. in Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, and can be seen on Spectrum News 1 and the Spectrum News App.
