OHIO — Four high school girls’ basketball teams claimed state championships on Saturday at the University of Dayton Arena.
In Division I, Olmsted Falls claimed their first state championship with a 52-45 victory over Springsboro. Danielle Cameron scored 19 points to help the Bulldogs win after finishing as the runner-up a year ago. For more information about the game, including the full game recording, click here.
In Division II, Cincinnati Purcell Marian took down Shaker Heights Laurel 79-52 and claimed their third consecutive state title. Purcell Marian only lost one game the entire season and broke the Div. In Division III, Columbus Africentric Early College defeated Ottawa-Glandorf 58-47 to win their 9th state championship. Kamryn Grant had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Africentric claimed back-to-back state titles. For more information about the game, including the full game recording, click here.
In Division IV, Fort Loramie took down Waterford 42-29 to claim its fourth state title. Avery Brandewie led the way, chipping in 17 points. For more information about the game, including the full game recording, click here.
