COLUMBUS, Ohio — According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Ohio State has landed a new quarterback to compete for the starting job next season.

Will Howard, who played the last four seasons at Kansas State, led his team to a Big 12 title in 2022. He threw for 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2023. Howard also added nine touchdowns rushing. 

With the transfer of Kyle McCord, the Buckeyes are looking for a new signal caller for the 2024 season.

The Buckeyes lost the Cotton Bowl to Missouri on Dec. 29, 2023.
