The move was part of a larger announcement for all eight of the league’s football teams. The other teams are the Arlington Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, San Antonio Brahmas, St. Louis Battlehawks, D.C. Defenders, Seattle Sea Dragons and the Vegas Vipers, the league said.

The league is scheduled to begin play February 18, 2023.

The Guardians will play at Camping World Stadium, with tickets starting at $20. Deposits for season tickets are being accepted at XFL.com.

“The Guardians have touched down in Orlando, and I am back in the Sunshine State to lead the way with smart, fast, and fearless football for our fans,” said Head Coach Terrell Buckley. “Visiting teams better prepare for a sea of green guarding over Camping World Stadium."

Before weekend games, teams will practice and hold training sessions at the league’s football operations hub in Arlington, Texas.

The hub consists of a centralized performance facility and multiple practice venues for preseason and in-week training, providing players access to full-time, on-site support from coaches and athletic training staff.

The coaching staff now is scouting potential players in preparation for the XFL Draft in November.

ESPN announced in May that all XFL regular-season and playoff games would air on ESPN and other networks owned by The Walt Disney Company as part of a multiyear agreement.
