BOYLSTON, Mass. - The Worcester County District Attorney's Office is providing an update on last week's deadly shooting in Boylston.
The DA's office identifies 25-year-old Patrick Sargent of Boylston as the man shot and killed by a police officer.
It happened in the area near French Drive and Central Street last Wednesday.
The DA’s office assigned Attorney John Dawley Sr. to conduct an external review of the case.
State police detectives assigned to the DA's office are also investigating.
They all will submit their findings to the district attorney.
