DAYTON — The four Chilean men accused of targeting multi-million dollar homes in a string of burglaries, including possibly Joe Burrow’s, remain in the Clark County Jail.
Bond for each has been set at $250,000.
The formal arraignment has been continued until an interpreter can be present.
Sergio Cabello, Bastian Morales, Alexander Chavez and Jordan Sanchez are facing charges of participating in a criminal gang, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, and possessing criminal tools.
Body cam video shows the moments when the men were pulled over on January 10th on I-70.
One was wearing a Bengals hat.
Ohio State Highway Patrol has blurred out some of the video.
The trooper asks the men several questions, including where they are going and what brought them to the area.
One said they were vacationing in Ohio to see the snow.
The trooper began searching the car after saying he smelled marijuana.
Upon searching the proper found backpacks, a Louis Vuitton duffle bag, a LSU shirt and window punchers.
According to court documents, cellphone data from one suspect can place the phone in the area of a December 9th burglary in Hamilton County.
That’s the same day Burrow’s house was burglarized.
At this point, no charges have been filed related to the burglary at Burrow’s home.
The court could have the interpreter ready and have the arraignment scheduled for early next week.
