CLEVELAND — Maybe your holidays didn’t quite go as planned and you need a do-over, or you just don’t want them to end. There’s a couple places that can help keep you in the holiday spirit.
Some establishments are going the extra mile to keep the holiday spirit alive, and Christmas pop-up bars provide the ultimate holiday cheer.
Normally known as the Around the Corner Saloon and Café, its "Christmas Corner Bar" in Lakewood converts into a wonderland this time of year, but it’s no easy feat.
“It takes about two weeks. I get my whole staff, drinks, food and put up the bar in two weeks,” said owner Ryan Krivosh.
The weekends are standing room only for those who want to whip out their best Mariah Carey or Jingle Bell Rock.
“That’s all the karaoke we do is Christmas songs,” Krivosh said.
Meanwhile, if you were looking to get away to someplace warmer this Christmas but your beach plans didn’t pan out, Margaritaville in downtown Cleveland might be calling your name.
“Less Christmas music, more fun, more togetherness,” said bartender Dominique Mobley.
The laid-back Christmas pop-up may be missing Mariah Carey singing her holiday classic, but it won’t be missing what matters, togetherness.
“Even though the holiday is passed, to still be together, I think that’s a really good thing,” said Mobley
The two pop-up traditions promoting unity and happiness as one year ends and another gets set to begin.
Margaritaville will be serving its Grinch drink through Jan. 4, 2025, and the Christmas Corner Bar will be lit up until Jan. 18, 2025.
