COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nearly 103,000 fans watched Ohio State take down Tennessee in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
The Shoe was packed full of Buckeye fans like Cody Keil.
“We made a statement,” Keil said.
He said he and his friends bought tickets to the game because it’s the first time a college football playoff game was played in Ohio Stadium.
“How many times can you say you did something for the first time ever?” Keil said.
Along with all the Scarlett and Grey in the stands, there was also a lot of Tennessee Orange. Long time Vols fan, Danni Colegrove, was happy to see all the Vols fans who attended the game.
“I really thought there was only gonna be like a few orange dots and I was gonna be just one of them, but there were a lot and it was great, it was really cool,” Colegrove said.
Although it wasn’t the outcome Tennessee fans hoped for, Colegrove explained it’s a memory she won’t forget.
“I did not care if we lost or won, I was just excited to be here,” Colegrove said.
Keil said the overall game experience was “electric.”
