Raegan Carter, 5, started a fashion line, designing skirts and bows for other little girls with a special purpose in mind.
Raegan’s fashion line is called Rae of Sonshine Clothing and Accessories, but she not only designs. She’s also the inspiration behind an affirmations book her mom, Alexis Carter, wrote called "I Am Radiant," which is all about teaching young girls like Raegan the importance of self love and that they can do anything they set their little minds to.
"It's important for kids,” Alexis said, “because like I know for me, when I was young, I didn't know that I could say affirmations to myself. I just know that people would tell me, ‘Oh, you're smart’ or ‘you're beautiful’ or ‘you're creative’, but when you say it to yourself, it’s more powerful because you're actually telling yourself this, and then you're embedding it in your brain."
And Raegan’s not stopping there, hoping to one day make clothes for those experiencing homelessness, but for now, she wants to share a message for kids her age: “They can do anything they put their minds to.”
