  • Citizens Not Politicans is an organization that has been supporting and informing voters about Issue 1

  • Citizens Not Politicians spokesperson Chris Davey said politicians should not be involved in the map drawing process anymore

Citizens Not Politicians spokesperson Chris Davey said they have been educating the community on the importance of this issue for over a year and that it’s time to get politicians out of the map drawing process.

“The politicians have drawn gerrymandered maps seven times. Ohio is one of the ten most gerrymandered states in the country. That's bad for Democrats, independents and Republican voters. So what's issue one will do is amend the Constitution to put citizens in charge of map drawing, and it'll put an end to gerrymandering,” said Davey.

The Citizens Not Politicians group is planning several campaign events over the next four weeks leading up to election day. The group said its goal is to inform voters and not confuse them on the issue.
