COLUMBUS, Ohio — With the election around the corner, thousands of people from across the state came to Columbus Friday for the March for Life rally. 

They gathered at the statehouse with signs — sending a message against abortion rights after Ohio voters passed issue one last year — enshrining abortion access in the state’s constitution.

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade back in 2022, states can now regulate or prohibit abortions. 

While some states have chosen to restrict them, Ohio legalized it.  

President of the Center for Christian Virtue Aaron Baer said they put on the rally to educate people before the November election. 

“We care about unborn children, but we also care about their mothers and that children and marriage and family is a beautiful gift that we’re here to celebrate and amplify in Ohio,” Baer said.
