GAHANNA, Ohio — The annual Taste of Gahanna event is back for the 27th time.

What You Need To Know

  • The 27th annual Taste of Gahanna is Sunday, Aug. 25th

  • The purpose of the event is to expose people to Gahanna's restaurants

  • Taste of Gahanna is the city's biggest fundraiser of the year

“It is all you can eat. Live music. You get a free drink ticket. You're going to meet a ton of new friends,” said Brad Fisher, executive director of the Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce and host of the event.

He has been involved with the Taste of Gahanna event since 2017 and says it keeps growing every year.

“It's our biggest fundraiser each year, and so each year we are growing," Fisher said. "I mean, in the last five years we've grown about 50% in fundraising profit. And so it's been a pretty powerful event. And yeah, it's going to keep growing because people love it."

He says the main purpose of the event is to expose the community to local restaurants.

“We want to give them an opportunity to get new clients, but we also want to create a community event where, you know, just people from the community can come and gather and have a great time and try new foods," Fisher said. "You know, I've heard from a lot of the restaurant owners over the years that they always gain new customers by participating in Taste of Gahanna."

One of the restaurants that will be participating in the event is High Bank Distillery. Kendra Bosse, the general manager of the Gahanna location, says they participate in Taste of Gahanna because of the opportunity for community outreach and engagement.

“Taste of Gahanna provides an amazing opportunity for High Bank to reach out in our community of Gahanna and allow guests that have maybe been to us before to experience us in a more personalized way or expose our brand and our food and culture to new potential guests,” she said.

High Bank Distillery’s Gahanna location opened in 2022 and has been participating since then. This year, they are bringing their most popular dish and something new.

“We are going to be bringing our green goddess hummus, which is just this vibrant, beautiful green color, a fun spring summer twist on a classic dish. And then we are also going to be having our crowd favorite, our nachos,” Bosse said.

From nachos to pizza, chili and cakes. The more than two dozen vendors won’t leave visitors going home hungry.
