CLEVELAND — If you’re heading to downtown the week of July 1, don’t expect to be moving faster than a speeding bullet.
There’s some movie-making happening in downtown Cleveland.
Some road closures might be your kryptonite if you’re navigating in and around public square.
The project is officially called "Genesis," and the crew is tight-lipped about what they’re filming, but there are some dead giveaways including Metropolis police cars bus stops.
Security is very tight around the perimeter, constantly heard telling passersby to stop taking pictures.
But that didn’t deter Sherrie Scharton who proceeded to take pictures despite being reprimanded by security.
Despite not being able to get very close to the action, fans were excited to be within earshot of the filming where you could hear “action” yelled out numerous times throughout the day.
One family drove up from Cincinnati to catch a glimpse of the filming.
One woman who was running late to work due to the closures was upset, but not about her tardiness.
“I came over here in an attempt to see Superman, but Superman ain’t even over here,” Precious Acoff said.
Filming will be taking place through Saturday. Public square will be closed through Friday, July 5.
