“This is everybody in the community," Naft said. "It doesn’t matter who you are or which neighborhood you live in. Everybody comes here to have a good time."

Vendors, organizations and members of the community gathered in University Circle Saturday for the parade.

“It’s a really unique opportunity to bring Clevelanders from all over the area to come to Wade Oval, to come to the East side, to see what we really have to offer in University Circle with such a diverse and vibrant community,” said Heidi Clevinger, chief marketing and experience officer with University Circle Inc.

A big part of the event focused on art. Jacqueline Bon with the Cleveland Museum of Art said it’s a celebration of both community and art.

“The practice of art that’s something that’s living and breathing and celebratory,” Bon said.
