OHIO — Former President Donald Trump spent part of his day Wednesday in Southwest Ohio alongside U.S. Sen. JD Vance.

The former president was in Indian Hill for a private fundraising event to meet with his supporters. It was an event attendees had to pay $50,000 to attend. Roads were blocked early to prevent anyone from getting anywhere close to the event, causing some traffic and hiccups on the roads as people tried to get by.

People stood along the street hoping to see if the former president’s motorcade drive by, but that never happened.

Political experts say this event is pivotal for his campaign. 

“This is a significant deal to raise money, to try and stay current and close to the fundraising of President Biden,” said Glen Duerr, Cedarville University international studies professor. “It’s going to be key to have some level of parity in this competition.” 

Besides his visit to Indian Hill, the former president went to Lexington, Kentucky, for a fundraising event to meet with his supporters there.
