CINCINNATI, Ohio — A group of volunteers and officers are participating in a special national event recognizing those who have lost their life in the line of duty.

  •  Nearly 20 people from Cincinnati are participating in the 2024 Police Unity Tour 

  •  Riders traveling nearly 300 miles to D.C. to honor the lives of fallen officers 

  • This year, a mother of a fallen officer will be participating to honor her son 

That event is the Police Unity Tour. Nearly 20 people from Cincinnati will ride nearly 300 miles from New Jersey to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. It’s honoring the lives of fallen officers who have died over the years.

“They’ve practiced hundreds of miles on their bicycles so that they can make this ride and honor the uniform norms which are steeped in tradition, honor the work in the service of these men and women in this area.”

The group will start the tour in New Jersey on Thursday. They’re expected to arrive in D.C. on Sunday.
