OHIO — The total solar eclipse was a sight to see, and photographers are making sure that moment lives on for generations to come.
On Monday one photographer captured the total eclipse in Downtown Cleveland by Terminal Tower. Another took photographs in Mt. Healthy, a suburb of Cincinnati.
The photographers who took photos spent days preparing for the big day, scoping out the perfect location and tracking where the sun would be that day.
“It probably is that the photo that I am most proud of because it did take a lot of planning, you know, even though they know where the eclipse is going to be, just getting in the right spot at the right time and making sure it all work,” said David Petkiewicz, a professional photographer.
Taking photos of the total eclipse on Monday has inspired some photographers to travel and capture other ones around the world. The next one is in October in South America.
