It was a fight to the finish of a great season for the Ohio State Buckeyes women’s basketball team.

“This season has been terrific. I absolutely love watching these girls play offensively and defensively. Absolutely fun to watch!,” said OSU women’s basketball fan, Lexie Doddridge.

Lexie Doddridge is an Ohio State women’s basketball fan and has been supporting the team ever since she was a little girl. Lexie and her father Stan Doddridge attend all the women’s basketball games and have been doing so over the past three years.

“My daughter, Lexi, grew up playing basketball. So we’ve been to a lot of games here with Ohio State. We went to the Iowa game last year. We also went to Minneapolis for the Big Ten tournament and we went to Seattle for the Sweet 16,” said OSU women’s basketball fan and Lexie’s father, Stan Doddridge.

Lexie works for the ticketing office and is dating one of the coaches. So, she knew before tip-off she planned to go to Portland.

“I already booked my flight to Portland, so fingers crossed we win today. But I’m excited. This is a great group of girls. Great coaching staff, it’s been a good year,” said Lexie Doddridge.

Lexie and her father Stan have been supporters of women’s basketball for years and they are happy that the sport is finally getting the recognition it deserves.

“It’s great to see women’s sports be as popular as it is today. Like you see, the TV views sometimes being higher than men’s games and just seeing the Schott filled up with the 100 level, 200 level and 300 level. It’s fantastic,” said Lexie Doddridge.

“Here at Ohio State now, this is the fifth time this season that we had opened up the 300 level seating,” said Stan Doddridge.
