  • Management information systems students with the University of Dayton will assist the Montgomery County Board of Elections with uploading voter identification information

  • Students will transfer data from registration iPads at each of the county's 143 polling locations to the cloud

  • Election officials will use the data to verify voters and certify the election

Once the polls close, management information systems students with the University of Dayton will assist the Montgomery County Board of Elections with uploading voter identification information from iPads used to register voters at each polling place to the cloud. Officials will then use the information to verify voters and certify the election.

It is a process that used to take the Board of Elections days to complete, but with students' help, it takes hours.

This is the third election for University of Dayton students to assist Montgomery County Board of Elections, helping increase Election Day efficiency while also gaining real world career experience.
