Nine tornadoes, in fact, touched down in Ohio, according to the National Weather Service. Now, many are still cleaning up their homes and with a little help.

David Trainer and the Three Creeks Church came together to help Blacklick recover from an EF2 tornado that saw winds reaching 120 miles per hour. It hit the community when most were asleep Wednesday morning.

The tornado only lasted 14 minutes, but it caused extensive damage.

Trainer lives nearby, but he said his home luckily wasn't hit.

"We just heard the siren and moved everyone to the basement,” he said. “Then, we woke up and didn't see a whole personally close to us, but it's really amazing when you drive down a street, and you see where it hit, and you realize it could have been me.”

The church spread out into different cleanup groups throughout town, helping any way they could.

"That's just what we're called to do as a church,” Trainer said, “to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have needs.”

And in all the debris, there's hope.

"If you can make a little impact and doing something in a tangible way like this,” Trainer said, “hopefully that will just be a ripple effect to more positive impacts that can help down the road. "
