  • The induction ceremony will be held this fall in Cleveland

  • It's expected to impact Cleveland's economy in a positive way

The induction ceremony, which will occur in Cleveland this fall, has business owners across the city excited, including Laurie Torres, the owner of the popular restaurant, Mallorca.

“Those things are crucial to small businesses, big businesses, all actually downtown businesses,” she said.

Gia Polo, the general manager of Kimpton Schofield Hotel in Cleveland, shares the same excitement as Torres.

“To see Cleveland as such a humble city kind of come out of just a rough few years and really flex its muscle is so exciting to be a part of,” she said.

In many of the rooms in the hotel, there are nods to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Polo explained.

“On our Levi level, which is our 8th floor, all of our suites on the Levi level have record players in the rooms, and all the records that we’ve supplied are actual Rock Hall inductees from years past, so we are so excited to add to that collection,” she said.

The rooms haven’t filled up yet, but Polo hopes this is just the beginning for Cleveland.

“It draws them in, the events, but then we want them to think about us in the future,” she said.
