In honor of Veterans Day, Case Western Reserve University dental students gave free teeth cleanings to veterans, including Richard Griffin.

“I think it’s pretty special that Case Western offers this opportunity for veterans like myself,” he said.

Green served in the Army for six years in the 1960s.

“Well I got out of college from Ohio University and at that time the Vietnam was in play and I felt it was my obligation to help support our country at that time,” he said.

Case Western Reserve University’s dental school has done this each year since 2018 and have performed almost 100 free dental cleanings and added nearly 20 more on Friday. Griffin expressed his gratefulness for opportunities such as this.

“It’s a pretty special day,” he said.
