OHIO — According to the latest jobs report, the U.S. economy added 150,000 jobs last month, down a bit from the 297,000 jobs added in September. However, jobless claims are up for the second week in a row.

It shows that during the week ending Oct. 28, first-time claims for unemployment benefits increased by 5,000 from the prior week. Meanwhile, the number of continuing claims, which are filed by people who have received unemployment benefits for more than one week, are the highest since April. Although claims are trending upward this month, they are still below historical averages.
