CLEVELAND — The 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is in New York on Friday, but before then, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will open their 2023 Hall of Fame Inductees exhibit.
“Every year, it’s so exciting. I mean even for me working here, I can’t wait to see who the nominees are every year, who the inductees are and all those stories that we get to tell,” said John Goehrke, the director of guest experience for the Rock Hall.
Goehrke explained they will be telling stories of inductees like George Michael, Willie Nelson and more.
“This year, we’re inducting the great songwriter Bernie Taupin, Elton John’s long time collaborator, so seeing his handwritten lyrics to songs we all love and know that’s really cool. But also like Sheryl Crowe, we have the guitar that she used in the ‘Soak up the Sun’ music video,” he said.
He expressed he is excited to be a part of telling these stories.
“Being inducted is music’s biggest honor. It’s like the ultimate lifetime achievement award,” he said.
The 2023 inductee exhibit will be available to see at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame until the 2024 inductee exhibit opens.
