CLEVELAND — Little Italy’s Feast of the Assumption draws tons of people to Cleveland, and this year is no different. Claire Burger experienced the Feast for her first time.
“It’s a treat for us to be able to come,” she said.
She came out Saturday to the Feast with her family, despite the bad weather.
“We’ve always wanted to come and we’ve never gotten it together and we came today with my daughter and my son-in-law and my granddaughter,” she said.
The main event of the Feast is the food, and Burger said they came ready to eat.
“I have eaten ravioli and a meatball and we had gelato and a funnel cake,” she said.
Burger is of Italian descent, so it was extra exciting for her to attend the Feast for her first time.
“We love the food, we love seeing everybody, and like I said, we’re part Italian, so this is wonderful,” she said.
The Feast ends Tuesday evening.
