“We’ve got men's teams, we got women's teams, we got high school, we got high school boys and girls, so all ages, you know all genders, everyone’s just welcome and I think that’s the best part about the sport,” he said.

Street first discovered rugby when he went to college.

“We’ve got men's teams, we got women's teams, we got high school, we got high school boys and girls, so all ages, you know all genders, everyone’s just welcome and I think that’s the best part about the sport,” he said.

He explained the basics of the sport for people who may not know much about it.

“So pretty much the most important thing is you can only pass the ball backwards and you gotta tackle low, so as long as you can do those two things and support your fellow teammates then I think you’re in a good place,” he said.

Street said he really wants to see the sport grow and hopes a tournament like this helps to do that.

“I would love to see the youth program from little leagues to pop warner rugby start to grow so that way it can really develop the men’s teams and the older boys teams and you know it would be great if we could get another professional team here,” he said.
