What You Need To Know
- The Hilliard Food Pantry has reopened after weekend fire
- They are running a pop-up location outside Life Community Church and plan to move into their temporary home at Guide Church Thursday, July 20th
- The food pantry is still asking for donations
They're running what they call a pop-up pantry in the Life Community Church's parking lot, as they rebuild their storage warehouse destroyed by Sunday's fire.
The food at the pantry was donated, and Kyle Koppenhoefer with the food pantry couldn't be more eager to move forward with the help of the community.
"When you see that support come in and you see the amount of money we've raised over the last four days and the amount of food that we've, that has been donated, it just shows you that, you know, this community is just amazing, truly amazing,” said Koppenhoefer.
Koppenhoefer is hoping to serve around a hundred families Thursday.
They also plan to serve in the Life Community Church's parking lot Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday. By that point, they hope to continue serving at a new temporary home at Guide Church.
But they plan to eventually move back into their original space in the Life Community Church.
The local fire departments have collection boxes for those who want to donate food.
