CINCINNATI — U.S. Senator JD Vance paid a special visit today to a career tech school in Southwest Ohio.
On Friday, students and staff at Diamond Oaks Career Campus welcomed Vance into their school. Diamond Oaks is a career technical school that offers several trade programs for high school students.
He toured all parts of the campus, including the culinary arts, electrical trades, auto technician programs. Staff were excited to have him on campus and showcase all that they have to offer. Senator Vance said he was impressed with not only the facility but the work of the students as well.
“We have this incredible amount of talent in our young people and this school is figuring out innovative ways of marshaling that talent and getting these kids the skills that they need so that they can succeed in the future,” he said.
“What was great about it was him engaging with our students, hearing about their journeys and hear where they are going afterwards,” said Harry Snyder, President and CEO of Great Oaks Career Campuses. “And that’s always what’s exciting.”
Great Oaks has four career tech schools across the state of Ohio.
