Mental health and suicide are growing concerns for high school athletes and an Ohio coach is bringing it to the forefront of the state legislature.
Matt Triplet is a lacrosse coach at Desales High School in Columbus. He's also the creator of House Bill 492.
The bill would require all high school coaches in Ohio to be better trained to recognize mental health issues.
Mindy Drayer talked with Coach Triplet about why this bill is needed and why it hasn't yet become law.
