CLEVELAND — Georgiana Hasrouni isn’t wasting any time as she accomplishes her dreams.
“I’m currently a social media coordinator, producing video content and uploading social media content,” Hasrouni said.
At 19 years old, Hasrouni is the youngest bachelor’s degree recipient ever at Baldwin Wallace University.
“So, being the youngest graduate here, and making history at the school is such an honor,” Hasrouni said. “The way this is such a fun school. I love being here, and my time spent here was, well, I’ve made so many friends, and all of my professors have always motivated me,” Hasrouni said.
She said she began taking college courses when she was in high school.
“They equate to the same credits as in high school. So that's why I was able to graduate with an associate's degree and get my diploma at the same time,” Hasrouni said.
It’s a path that she encouraged other students to look into.
“It’ll jump start your career and jump start your life, you know, early,” Hasrouni said.
The graduate said she balanced her school life by making music. She goes by Little G Fresh on stage.
“I have collaborated with many artists, deejays and producers across the world, and especially in the Arab region in the world,” Hasrouni said. “I’ve actually worked on a song, an audio engineered a Netflix song that actually featured on Netflix based in Jordan. And I’m Lebanese, and my music has actually aired on Virgin Radio Lebanon.”
Hasrouni said she plans to release her next album this summer, just in time for her next achievement.
“This summer, I’ll be interning at NASA headquarters, and I will be producing videos for their YouTube channel, social media accounts and producing educational content for the users and audience of NASA to learn more and explore more about their programs,” Hasrouni said.
She gave this piece of advice to those who might follow in her footsteps.
“Check out what your high school has to offer in your [school], [see if] there's any programs like my high school had to offer, and for video production, you know, just keep practicing those softwares, keep looking up tutorials and just have fun with it,” Hasrouni said.
