A Cleveland Clinic Children's study showed pediatric heart failure emergency visits increased by 82% in 2016, when compared to 2012, along with an increase of heart failure hospitalizations by 14%. The study continues to note there are fewer FDA-approved treatment options for children with this condition, as opposed to adults.
