Kauai County and the Department of Health’s Kauai District Health Office are offering a third round of free COVID-19 home test kits from May 2 to 6.

Some 15,000 kits, covered via federal funds, are available for Kauai residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Each individual or household may receive a maximum of five tests.

Kits will be available at sites around the island over the five-day distribution period.

May 2

  • Kekaha Neighborhood Center, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Waimea Neighborhood Center, 1 to 4 p.m.

May 3

  • Hanalei Neighborhood Center, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Kilauea Neighborhood Center, 1 to 4 p.m.

May 4

  • Hanapepe Neighborhood Center, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Kalaheo Neighborhood Center, 1 to 4 p.m.

May 5

  • Anahola Clubhouse, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex (Kapaa), 1 to 4 p.m.

May 6

  • Koloa Neighborhood Center, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Lihue Neighborhood Center, 1 to 4 p.m.

Free rapid PCR COVID-19 testing with same-day results is still available at select sites around the island, including Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall (4191 Hardy Street) provides testing Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The mobile testing van visits different communities each weekday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Wednesdays: Kekaha Neighborhood Center
  • Thursdays: Kilauea Neighborhood Center
  • Fridays: Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex.
