COLUMBUS, Ohio — Republicans in the Ohio House and Senate acknowledged to Spectrum News 1 an unlikelihood there will be a unified primary May 3.
Most who spoke Thursday to Spectrum News 1 felt the General Assembly's primary will take place Aug. 2. Also those that responded said May 3 should not be changed for the other candidates because it would hurt candidates and voters who planned on voting for those races at that time.
Some Republicans still refused to comment about the situation or did not return a request for comment.
Some Rs are still unwilling to comment about the situation or have not gotten back to me. Those that responded say May 3rd shouldn't be changed for the other candidates because it would hurt candidates and voters who planned on voting for those races on May 3rd. @SpectrumNews1OH
