OHIO — With the state being represented in Super Bowl LVI, Gov. Mike DeWine decided to show just how proud Ohio is by renaming three state parks temporarily in honor of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Each of the new names honors current and former players.

Burr Oak State Park in Glouster will be dubbed "Burrow Oak State Park" in honor of quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow, who grew up in Athens, Ohio, has a chance to become the first quarterback in history to win the Heisman Triply, a National Championship and the Super Bowl if the team beats the Rams Sunday.

Paint Creek State Park in Brainbridge will go by the moniker "Evan McPherson Extra Point Creek State Park" in honor of Evan McPherson, who helped lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl with his game-winning kicks.

The last state park, Hueston Woods State Park in College Corner, will go by "Ickey Woods State Park," named after the iconic fullback Ickey Woods. Woods spent his entire career with the Bengals from 1988-91.

The parks will replace the old signs with new ones sometime this week.

The Bengals will take on the Rams Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the team's first Super Bowl since the 1980s.
