INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad takes familes on a special adventure to the North Pole.

​Mia Patterson and her mom Tara Patterson recently took the trip. 

"We're going to the North Pole," said Mia. 

Families board the train in Independence, Ohio.

"I can't believe we get to enter the North Pole! What if we get to see Santa, and the reindeer, and some worker elves right now," said Mia.

Along the way, travelers can sing and dance with Santa's elves, drink hot chocolate and eat sweet treats. There's also an opportunity to write letters to Santa.

"I am asking for my family to be together for Christmas," said Tara.

"Thank you for letting us come to the North Pole," Mia said to Santa.

While the trip to the North Pole was short, it's one Mia won't forget.

"Fun, fun, fun," said Mia.
