CLEVELAND — Culture and arts take center stage at Fresh Fest Cleveland on Sept. 11. The annual event returns this year, after a pandemic hiatus, with fun for the entire family.

Fresh Fest Cleveland is a free festival hosted in the Urban Agriculture Innovation Zone on Rid-All Farm and Otter Park. The event seeks to celebrate the arts and urban agriculture, promote health and wellness and showcase fresh local food.

“I wanted to create a space where everyone was welcome,” said Kimberly Foreman, Fresh Fest organizer. “I want to also make sure that we were respecting the place we were in and helping maybe to shift the narrative that we can have an event of this scale in this community and people can come across the street and enjoy their neighborhood.”

The event will feature a full day of performances, art installations, health and wellness activities, a farmer's market, chef tastings, local vendors, hands-on activities, workshops and a kids zone.

Fresh Fest is presented by The One Garden Valley Project, Environmental Health Watch, Rid-All Green Partnership and Brittany's Record Shop.

Admission is free, but perks are offered to those who register in advance at the Fresh Fest Cleveland website.
