The leader of a Capital Region sex cult has been denied a new trial for a second time.

The defense team for NXIVM' Keith Raniere argued two members were not allowed to testify on his behalf.

Raniere was previously found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Sentencing will go on as planned in New York City on Tuesday.

If convicted, Raniere faces up to life in prison.
