“Ever since COVID started in March, we started doing masks, which was something I didn’t do every day,” said Terrance.

Terrance has been creating his own line of clothes in Lorain for more than eight years. Terrance said he is 98 percent self-taught, and uses left over fabric from his designs to make his masks.

“Creating fabrics before COVID started was really cool, so we implement that into the masks like this Lorain lighthouse masks. So we were making the lighthouse top and the dress, so you can match a whole outfit with our masks,” Terrance said.

Terrance has creating clothing lines showcasing his hometown of Lorain, plus his experiences traveling to New York and Paris.

Janet Garcia enjoys wearing Terrance’s designs, specifically the Lorain postcard dress and matching mask.

“Well he’s a local designer. That’s a wonderful thing. He is fashion-forward; his designs are beautiful,” said Garcia. “He’s really a fabulous designer and he works with the community a lot, and that’s really wonderful.”

Terrance said in fashion, you have to adapt to the times so his next creation will be a work from home collection.

“I don’t want to be caught or naïve making red carpet pieces and people are not going to red carpet events,” Terrance said.
