COLUMBUS, Ohio — Protests continue in downtown Columbus.

City Council President Shannon Hardin took part in Saturday's demonstration and he, along with Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Columbus) and Franklin County Commissioner Kevin Boyce were maced or pepper sprayed.

What are his thoughts about that? What does he think about the Columbus Community Safety Advisory Commission report released in January that gives 80 recommendations for the Columbus Police Department focusing on community engagement, diversity and inclusion? What does he say to people who feel their right to protest peacefully has been cut off by these curfews that were put in place to stop the rioting?

He joined Spectrum News 1 for an interview to discuss.
