SANDUSKY, Ohio — It’s usually one of the busiest times of the year for indoor water parks — especially during spring break. But now, fears of the coronavirus are forcing resorts to shut their doors.
- Kalahari, Great Wolf Loge and Cataway Bay closed
- Those with booked stays will receive full refunds
- The resorts will try to reopen April 2nd
In Sandusky, all of the major indoor water parks have closed due to coronavirus concerns.
Resorts like Kalahari Indoor Water Park, Great Wolf Lodge and Castaway Bay closed their doors Sunday afternoon after the mass gathering directive issued by Governor DeWine last week, which bans more than 100 people from being in a single space.
Many of the resorts have posted statements on their websites stating they will be closed for two weeks.
Those who had booked stays will receive full refunds.
The resorts said they will try to reopen April 2nd.
