A former NXIVM member accused of doing human experiments is now losing his medical license.

The state department of health says Brandon Porter had his license suspended one month after leader Keith Raniere was arrested, and was served with 25 misconduct charges by the department's office of professional medical conduct.

A decision released this week says Porter conducted human brain-activity experiments, showing people associated with NXIVM disturbing violent videos and tracking their responses. All this without any oversight or approval from health officials.

Between 2010 and 2017, an estimated 200 people participated in some kind of study with Porter. He resigned from his position at Saint Peter's Hospital in 2017 where he worked since 2010.

This decision comes after a federal jury in Brooklyn convicted Keith Raniere on all charges. Porter is not facing any criminal charges at this time.
