State Senator Hearcel Craig (OH-15) shared that he was inspired to run for office by his mother, who worked hard throughout his childhood to provide for her family and community. Craig believes his district is best at philanthropy. He also noted in his Know Your Elected interview that the district is constantly evolving and strengthening its public-private relationships.

Craig's first job was as a dishwasher at Rogers Chesapeake Restaurant. If he had an extra hour of free time, he would spend it with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
