His military service in Iraq inspired Ohio State Representative Brian Stewart to pursue public service. He started as a town council member, then moved to the county level, and now represents Ohio's 78th. 

Though most people focus on issues where political parties disagree, Stewart wishes more people understood the comradery between legislators that exists off-camera across party lines.

In his Know Your Electeds interview, Stewart said one of his hidden talents is playing the violin. If he weren't in public service, he said he would be a movie critic.
